While who we are is important, it is what we do that drives our enthusiasm, innovation and relationships with our customers. No matter how large or small the task, it is with integrity and dedication that we continue to meet and exceed our customers’ needs and to provide superior customer support.
Hi! My name is Chad Abrahamson. I grew up in the small town of Roscoe, in north central Illinois, and while I have lived and traveled all over the world for work, I settled back home in Roscoe. I spend all my time outside of work with my spouse, son (age 17), daughter (age 18), and our Newfoundland (Greta). If I am not heading out to some event for one of the kids, or working on homework, I am usually cleaning up hair and drool from our dog, lol.
I came to the Impact Team with 10+ years of experience in Materials and Distribution Management. Those 10 years have taught me a lot about supplier management, most importantly that no matter what “it is all about customer service”. I look forward to doing my best!
Manufacturing & Product Engineer
Hi, my name is Steve Cook. I was born in Missouri, and moved to Chicago at an early age. I have been in the Design and Production
Industry for over 25 years. I started out being a Model Maker, and still consider myself one, as I enjoy creating and building ideas.
My wife and I have been living in Algonquin for 19 years now, and we have been married for 30. We have 2 sons that we are very proud of. For fun, my wife and I enjoy fishing and the outdoors.
Working here at Impact is a lot of fun. The team here is great to work with.
Director of Manufacturing
My name is Don Domanus. I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area, and I have recently moved back from Colorado to be more involved in the lives of my children and grandchildren. I have over 30 years experience in the Plastics Industry, and a good part of that included the manufacturing of industrial waste lids. I am glad to be back home and to now be a part of the Impact group!
Inside Account Manager
Hi my name is Eric Eggum. I grew up in Rockton, IL and went to a small college called Carthage in Kenosha. Since graduating I’ve lived in a lot of different places including Taiwan and met a lot of great people along the way. My fiancé and I now live in Chicago where we love going out with friends, experiencing new restaurants, going to Cubs games and enjoying being outdoors.
I’m relatively new to the waste industry but have about 5 year’s experience in sales and customer service across many different industries. I’ve really enjoyed working with the people in the industry as well as my colleagues here at Impact. I’m very fortunate to be a part of the Impact family and am excited to see what the future holds.
Inside Account Manager
My name is Judy Ihssen. I grew up in Carpentersville, and I’ve lived in Elgin for the past 25 years. I am the youngest of six kids (five girls, one boy). I have ten nieces and nephews, one great niece and one great nephew. I love being part of a big family! We all love to laugh, and we have fun anywhere we go.
I married my husband and best friend 18 years ago. I have a 22-year-old step daughter, who is a nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and a 15-year-old son who lives and breathes baseball and, of course, video games.
I’ve been in the manufacturing industry for over 17 years and could not imagine working in any other industry. Joining Team Impact was a dream come true. Impact truly cares about its customers, employees, and quality of product. It shows in its “Core Values”: Impact is dedicated to customer satisfaction and quality, and it’s a leader in the Plastics Industry.
2nd Shift Thermoforming Lead
Impact gave me the opportunity to work without any experience and train me.
Thanks to this company, I have years of experience in the plastic industry operating our Thermoforming Machinery. I went from being a hand trimmer and machine operator to becoming the night shift supervisor within 1 year managing up to 15-20 people. I keep learning to develop the skills need to run the machines as well as fix them and keep them running on my shift.
In my personal life, I enjoy being outside, hiking, and just spending quality time with my son and my wife.
Hello, my name is Roland. I was born in Virginia and raised in Elgin. I have worked in warehouses for many years. I was also a driver for About 7 years. I have one son. He will be turning 19 this year. I began Working for Impact in ’07 and someone saw some good in me and hired me.
Central Regional Sales Manager
I was born and raised in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. Being the son of a tradesman, I realized quickly to never be afraid of hard work and to treat others the way you would like to be treated. Two of many lessons learned I carry into my professional and personal life. I went to Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and received a B.S. in Health and Human Performance. I cut my teeth in the business world by running health clubs, where identifying the needs of the customer and offering superior service is a prerequisite to being successful.
I currently still live in the Western Suburbs with my lovely wife and three amazing kids. In my free time you will find me working on my house (a never ending project!), coaching one of my kid’s teams or getting in some exercise. I like to spend as much time outdoors as possible either playing or attending sporting events, hiking up or sliding down mountains or continuously attempting to hit a tiny white ball into a 6in hole in the ground.
I came to Impact because I enjoy working for a company that believes in doing things the right way; that manufactures the best and strongest products in our industry and support our customers with unmatched service; we just happen to make dumpster lids…want to buy some?

Western Regional Sales Manager
I grew up in farm country in rural Indiana and had the pleasure of being part of a community of 645 people. With the influence of a very supportive family, I moved to Chicago and started work as a salesman with a bank and then eventually with a microscope company. I have experience working with all different types of companies from government run facilities to small mom and pop machine shops and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my sales career. Even though I have had many positions during my lifetime which include janitor, chicken fryer frame painter, waiter and bartender, I always have enjoyed being around people. I am an avid college football fan along with pro baseball and football. My weekends consist of spending quality time with my wife and 2 girls, most of the time outside, vacationing or watching our favorite sports teams which include the Cubs, Bears and Fighting Irish. I am very excited to be part of the Impact family and will look forward to engaging with all of the interesting people in the waste industry.

Inside Account Manager
Helloooo!! I’m Beth, and I am the Logistics Coordinator at Impact.
I have lived most of my life in Burlington…not Wisconsin, not Iowa…yes, it’s in Illinois; a fairly small town of about 600, situated 15 miles West of Elgin. My children are the third generation in Burlington schools. I do believe I’m forever small town. I am the proud mother of three children: An adult daughter, and twin young men, in addition to an adorable grandson! I am a middle child…which, if you weren’t aware, tends to make me the “people-pleaser-who-must-keep-the-peace-and-make-everybody-happy”. This attitude is why I excel in customer service!
I came to Impact with 10 years of LTL transportation experience, in which I worked in positions ranging from billing and rating, to outside sales. This, in addition to my “people-pleasing personality”, makes me an ideal fit in my position! I take care of my customers; both internally and externally! I don’t think I have ever been a part of such an amazing group of people who strive, every day, to exceed expectations, and to take care of their customers, and each other.
So…how may I help you? Please let me know!
